Reading Challenge
I have challenged myself to read 20 books in 2012. That might not seem like much to some but it is a lot for me.
So far I have read 2. Does it count for a book I started in 2011 and finished in 2012? If not, then I’ve only read 1.

This is my birthday month and while the first week has been extremely stressful with work and my mom in the hospital, I am determined to make this month great. Here are some of the positive things I will focus on this month:
The first week of my 30 day challenge is complete and the results are mixed. I did well on my exercise goals but I didn’t do so well on my eating goals. I had 5 meals out this past week. The meals I did make were high in protein and low in carbs, however, I did have 2 cupcakes (my weakness!). I have to get better with my eating this second week.
I worked out 5 days this week. I knew the working out part would be easier for me than the diet part. I did 3 days of cardio and had 2 sessions with my trainer. The workouts with my trainer are tough but I am glad for that. I actually learned how to do something new the other night. I can do cleans! I have been working on these for a while now and always mess up and break form. But I think I got the hang of it. I didn’t lift much weight but was able to do 3 sets of 15 - something I didn’t think was possible.
So, one week down and 3 to go. Hopefully I can keep improving each week.
