Book Challenge 2012: Update

On Jan. 30, I posted an update to my book challenge for 2012.  Sadly, I haven’t read too much more since then.

  • The Adults by Alison Espach
  • Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? by Mindy Kaling
  • The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot
  • The Future of Us by Jay Asher and Carolyn Mackler
  • The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
  • Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins

Currently reading: Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins

At the beginning of this year, I said I would read 20 books.  I’m still ahead of schedule, but I’d like to get more reading done.

Book Challenge 2012

I decided to challenge myself to read more this year.  I hope to read at least 20 books this year.  I know it doesn’t seem like a lot for some, but it is for me.  I enjoy reading.  I was sort of a book worm growing up.  But in the last 5 or 6 years, I have hardly read any books.  Life just gets in the way and it’s easier for me to watch TV than read a book.

Last year, I started reading a lot more and was invited to join a book club.  I think I read 12 books last year, so I thought doubling it would be fair.  So far, I’ve read 4 books and it’s still January!  But come warmer months, I think it will be harder for me to make the time to read.

Books I’ve read:

  • The Adults by Alison Espach
  • Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? by Mindy Kaling
  • The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot
  • The Future of Us by Jay Asher and Carolyn Mackler

Currently reading: The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
