The Big Easy
This week I went to New Orleans for a work conference. It was the most enjoyable work travel I’ve had in a long time. We packed in a lot during the evenings we had free. I’ve been to New Orleans two times before: once as a child on a family vacation and once in 2004 for Mardi Gras. I forget how enjoyable this city is. I love the history, the architecure, easy-going lifestyle, the food, all of it.
One of the things we did was go on a Haunted History Tour. I am not really a believer in ghosts and such, but it was very interesting and I was highly entertained. We went to Pat O’Brien’s and drank too many Hurricanes, got hit on by gross men and sang along in the piano bar. We also had fabulous meals at Crescent City Brewhouse, NOLA, and Felix’s - where I had oysters for the first time and love them!
I need to plan a trip to go back soon!
