My Year In Review
A lot of websites, news programs and magazines recap the year that was during this time of year. Here is my recap of 2011 and the things that made an impact on my life this year:
Family
-
My younger sister and her husband moving back home after 7 years
-
My mom fully recovering from her suddent illness
-
Watching my 3 nephews learn and grow each day. They say and do the funniest things and they make my life much richer
Friends
-
My friends are the best. They are here for me no matter what is going on. They listen to me complain, they cheer me up when I’m sad and they celebrate my happy times
-
New friends and friends I have grown closer to this year
-
Ending long friendships because they’ve shown their true colors
Work/School
-
I started 2011 unemployed. I was feeling depressed and hopeless. But in April I started working again, and even though this job isn’t all I dreamed it would be, I am thankful I have one
-
Getting a significant raise at said job only 7 months later
-
Graduation! I now have an MBA!
Love
-
I met a nice guy; a truly awesome nice guy. I have not been happier
Music
-
Adele 21 - Her voice! Her lyrics! It was the first full album I’ve loved in a while
-
Kelly Clarkson Stronger - Have always been a lifelong fan and will continue to be one if she keeps putting out music like this
-
U2 360 Concert - This was the only concert I went to this year and although the album has been out for well over a year, it was one of the best shows I’ve seen in a long time
Movies
-
Bridesmaids - I laughed! I laughed harder!
-
Crazy Stupid Love - It had the right mix of comedy, emotion and humor
TV
-
Friday Night Lights - I will miss you Taylor Family, Riggs, Saracen, 6, and everyone else in Dillion, TX
-
The Vampire Diaries - I am not a 13 year old girl, but I love everything about this show
-
The Walking Dead - What’s better than zombies, humor, action and suspense? Did I mention the zombies?
-
Mad Men - During their year hiatus, I caught up on all four seasons and now understand the obsession. When does Season 5 start?
Books
-
The Lisbeth Salander Trilogy - While some parts dragged, I felt the whole trilogy was action packed and it kept me wanting to read more
-
The Help - I loved everything about this book: humor, emotion, historical fiction
-
So Much Pretty - I still want to know who killed Wendy White
-
Bossypants - It was great to get a look at Tina Fey’s life and what it’s like to be a female comedy writer
New Things I Discovered
-

-
The Farmhaus Restaurant
