Awards Season
I love Awards Season. I especially like the Golden Globes, the Academy Awards and the Screen Actors Guild Awards. This is the time of year that Hollywood releases what they believe will be the contenders come Awards Season.
Each year I have intentions of watching the heavy favorites, but in reality, I only see one or two of them. I wait too long and the week before the Oscars I’m scrambling to watch. This year, I am hoping to start earlier in my viewing even though nominations for the Golden Globes (which are good indicators for the Academy Awards) won’t be announced for a few weeks.
So here are the movies I have on my short list:
- The Descendants
- The Help
- Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close
- The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo
- Young Adult
